Safety is our number one concern. In accordance with Minnesota state law, to be pierced as a minor at Steady, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. You must bring your current school, or valid military, tribal or state ID, or passport. Your parent/guardian must also bring their valid state, tribal or military ID or passport. This identification must be accompanied by documentation that reasonably establishes that the individual is the parent or legal guardian of the individual who is seeking the body piercing, i.e. - birth certificate, guardianship papers, or adoption papers. If names do not match, or have changed, please call to determine what documentation will be necessary.
A technician may perform body piercings on an individual under the age of 18 if: the individual's parent or legal guardian is present, the individual's parent or legal guardian provides personal identification by using one of these methods: a valid driver's license or identification card issued by the state of Minnesota or another state that includes a photograph and date of birth of the individual; a valid military identification card issued by the United States Department of Defense; a valid passport; a resident alien card; or a tribal identification card. The individual seeking the body piercing provides proof of identification by using one of the methods described above, a current student identification, or another official source that includes the name, birthdate and a photograph of the individual.
This identification must be accompanied by documentation that reasonably establishes that the individual is the parent or legal guardian of the individual who is seeking the body piercing, i.e. - birth certificate, guardianship papers, or adoption papers.
